Granite slabs and tiles of superior quality are produced at the granite plants that we own and operate in India. Ensuring the utmost quality in packing is paramount to us, as we regard it as integral as the products themselves. Our steadfast dedication lies in never compromising on packing expenses. Whether utilizing wood or alternative materials, we leave no stone unturned in guaranteeing the safe delivery of your stone products, encompassing polished granite slabs and marble slabs, to your designated location, free from any damage, breakage, or blemishes. Our fundamental ethos revolves around implementing comprehensive measures to secure the pristine arrival of your ordered items.
Pallet Packing of Standard Granite Tiles or Custom-Cut Granite Tiles
Adhering to industry benchmarks, our packing protocol involves arranging tiles on wooden pallets with polished sides aligned and employing soft paper strips or polythene sheets to minimize friction during transit. Sturdy box material provides ample protection against chipping along tile edges. Every wooden crate or pallet is enveloped in a polythene sheet cover, firmly sealed with iron or plastic strips. Furthermore, wooden crates within the container are firmly anchored to prevent any shifting, guaranteeing stability throughout transportation.
Box Packing for Delicate Granite Tiles or Custom-Cut Granite Tiles
For delicate tiles, measuring 10 mm or less in thickness, we begin by enclosing them in either styrofoam or paper corrugated boxes, according to client specifications. These are then meticulously arranged within fumigated wooden crates, tightly secured and reinforced with iron or plastic strips to ensure heightened protection during transit.
The wooden crate packing method provides supplementary shielding against breakage, scratches, or any other damage during transportation. This approach is especially well-suited for premium granite tiles, where preserving the flawless condition of the polished surface is paramount.
Granite Slab Packing
Cutter-size slabs are strategically arranged within the container to optimize space utilization, with the finished side of each slab positioned to face each other, minimizing friction and potential damage during transit. Special attention is paid to eliminating air gaps between slabs to reduce movement within the container, enhancing safety and stability during transportation.
Once the slabs are precisely arranged, they are covered with polythene sheets to provide an additional layer of protection against external elements and environmental factors during transit.
Following the application of polythene sheets, a wooden frame is meticulously crafted to securely hold the slabs in place. This frame is designed to leverage gravity and force, effectively locking the slabs in position and further enhancing stability while minimizing potential movement within the container.
Marking on Packing Material
Every wooden crate bears distinctive markings, denoting the Material Name, Dimensions, Quantity of Slabs/Tiles, Block number of origin, and the “Made in India” label.
- Container Specifications: Generally natural stone products are shipped in 20 ft containers. Estimated granite weight for calculations: Thickness 10 mm – 27 kg/m2, thickness 20 mm – 58 kg/m2, thickness 30 mm – 85 kg/m2.
- Permissible Load Capacities for Natural Stone in Containers
A standard load of 27.50 metric tons is consistently utilised. - Container Capacities: While adhering to client instructions on weight and quantity, our standard container loading typically involves:
– 10 mm thick tiles: 800 sq. meters in the container
– 20 mm thick tiles/slabs: 410 sq. meters in the container
– 30 mm thick tiles/slabs: 285 to 310 sq. meters in the container
We closely monitor every step of the container loading process, capturing digital images once the wooden crates are securely fastened and locked within the containers. These images are promptly shared with our clients to ensure their satisfaction with the handling and secure placement of their orders.
